The Austrian Doctor Franz Xaver Mayr (1875 - 1965) developed a diagnostic therapy method which has been used to sucessfully treat patients for over 20 years here in Hotel St. Georg****
The therapy allows the body to ultimately accept a new nutritional regime leading a healthier way to live.
The F.X.MAYR-Therapy is an intensive diet treatment, which relies heavily on patient commitment and dicipline. The emphasis is on cleansing and detoxify the intestine, which in turn leads to purifying the body, allowing the self healing power of your internal organism to leave you feeling rejuninated.
As your body adapts you crave less food, although the weight loss is a welcome side effect and not the whole point of the treatment. In fact, the therapy can also be used by underweight patients, to cleanse the system and re-educate the body to gain weight.
Each patient is diagnosed by our doctors, and a specific treatment plan is prescribed. The classic Mayr diet consists of fasting on pure tea, milk and bread rolls, however now days the diet is not always so strictly adhered to and we also have light delicacies to look forward to.
